Change of dates for the Easter sailing course. Now running from Monday 2nd to Friday the 6th of April. Perfect way to start the sailing season!
The Start Sailing course is for beginners, suitable for all ages. 10am to 5pm. It will run for 5 days.

Put the date in your diary! After the smash success of SeaFest 2011, it has been decided to push ahead with the event again in 2012. The dates have been changed slightly to fit ideally into a calendar packed with superb sailing and watersports events.
Join us here on the Swilly June 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, 2012 for plenty of fun and excitement – both on and off the water – and a fabulous array of great local food. Our summer kayaking has kicked off in earnest. Andrew has sessions going out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. Anyone interested should ring him on 087 982 1209. Aengus’s next evening Start Sailing course for adults begins Monday, 18 July. If interested contact us on 086 386 3455. Based on all the positive feedback we’re getting, SeaFest was one fantastic weekend of sailing, water sports and food. The weather gods blessed us with a couple of rainless days with significant spells of sunshine thrown in for good measure. Except for a lull in the winds on Sunday, keelboats and dinghies had plenty of puff to make things interesting enough out there.

We still have a few spots available on our Water Week for juniors running from June 27 to July 1st. This is a games-orientated approach to introducing kids to thrill and skill of watersports, perfect for young ones who just want the experience of something new, exciting and fun. Andrew Guckian, our intrepid kayaking instructor as well as our Senior Sailing instructor, has arrived in Rathmullan a week earlier than planned. This means the kayaking can commence. The unusually high winds of the past 2 weeks have unfortunately blown a hole in our course programme! Since the Start Sailing course that is currently underway hasn’t been able to get on the water at all over the past week, they will be make up for lost sessions during the week beginning May 30th. This means we will have to reschedule the Basic Skills course originally intended for that week. Sorry, but if anyone out there has a hotline to the wind gods, could you please ask them to tone it down a notch or two.
